To visit Magalawa Island, it will take around 4 ½ hours of land travel from Metro Manila (inclusive of 15 minutes rough road trip) and 10 minutes of banca ride from the Palauig dock. This is an alternative for beach lovers who prefer short haul sea travel.

Yes, a Puerto Galera weekend getaway is an alternative for beach lovers who prefer night life similar to Boracay.

For the southerns, the travel time to Puerto Galera is convenient. From Alabang, it only takes around 2 hours to reach the Batangas port. Then, with a ferry ride, tourists will arrive at the famous White Beach, Puerto Galera in an hour.

 

The cool and clear water of White Beach entices the swimmers to stay at the water and endure the summer heat. There are also various beach activities to choose from: parasailing, banana boating, kayaking, jet skiing, and island hopping are just a few. Tattooing, hair braiding and body massage at the sea shore are available for relaxation during idle hours. Stalls can be found along the beach offering inexpensive souvenir items, such as apparel and accessories.
