Hello Baler!

Want bigger and bolder waves? Try Sabang Beach @ Baler (“_”)

I am not a surfer to begin with...but I really love the beach. What’s more fascinating about Baler aside from being a famous surfers’ haven is the relaxing and peaceful ambiance it offers to travellers. You may also have a day tour on nearby places by renting a “tricycle” which will take you to the different tourist spots of Baler.

From Cubao to Baler, travel time is around 6 -7 hrs. I advise you to make bus reservations a week in advance (particularly the Baler to Manila route). It’s pretty hassle and time consuming to drop-off to Cabanatuan and take another bus ride on your return trip to Manila.

Pampanga Food Trip

Fact: If your office is located in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), aka “The Fort” , you‘ll be tempted to dine-out since cafés, teahouses and restaurants can be found in almost every avenue of this busy district.

From all the “Pros” of working in BGC, “good food” is what I loved about this place, especially during weekdays, be it a lunch break or after a long day of work. But on weekends, it’s still good to travel outside the Metro and have a taste of authentic native cuisines. Aside from Nuvali and Tagaytay, Pampanga is one of the best nearby places for food tripping. You may visit the following restaurants and café:

Apag Marangle (Angeles, Pampanga) - try their authentic Kapampangan dishes, such as kamaru,  mudfish, fried frog and duck caldereta for a new experience.

Lalalalala La Union

Want to get stoked?

San Juan, La Union is one of the famous hideout of surfers here in the North. This time, the Surf and Music Festival capped the long weekend of San Juan from October 31 to November 3 with great night of party,  adventure and fun.

The Surf & Music Festival 2012 was presented by Aloha Boardsports in partnership with the Department of Tourism [http://www.philippineconcerts.com]. Famous local bands, such as Wolfgang, Urbandub, and Pupil, convened together to create the best 3-night concert at the beach.  The festival also featured beginner and pro surf competition over the weekend.

Ace Water Spa

Outdoor activities are limited during rainy months. Aside from staycation and windowshopping, there are interesting indoor places that we can visit to pamper ourselves. Ace Water Spa is a perfect choice for a weekend relaxation.

Ace Water Spa at Ace Suites Ortigas is accessible in the metro (http://www.acewaterspa.com.ph/). It has a hotel-like ambiance for its reception area with large massage pools and buffet area. Regular entrance fee is PhP550 but online sites like metrodeal and cashcash pinoy offer vouchers at discounted price. Ace features the following facilities:
